5 Tips to Travel Light and Dress Well at the Same Time

Whether you are traveling home for the holidays, going on a vacation, or a business trip, you want to look your best. In order to achieve this, most people pack half of their closet in the checked-in bag and try to cram as much stuff as possible into carry-on luggage. However, there is no need to do drag a heavy bag wherever you go. With a couple of essential items you can look amazing and travel light at the same time. Here are a couple of tips every traveler will surely find useful.

Stick to three colors

If you have already created a capsule wardrobe at home, you won’t have any problems with organizing your luggage this way. In order to end up with multiple outfits with only a couple of items you should choose pieces in three matching colors. If you are going to an urban destination, a black-white-navy combo is a good choice, while khaki, white and bright hues are great for a beach vacation. If you are not sure which items to pack, you cannot go wrong with a pair of jeans and pants, a button-down shirt, a blazer, and a T-shirt.

Accessorize

We all know that a well-chosen accessory can elevate any outfit. Even something as simple as a pair of jeans and a white sleeveless top can look stylish with a classic gem necklace.  If gem pieces suit your sense of style, you can find great jewelry deals on Moon Magic. Men, on the other hand, do not have to wear jewelry but they should consider wearing a nice watch, a leather belt, or even socks in fun patterns.

Don’t go overboard with shoes

It can be tempting to bring a ton of shoes with you, but they take up a lot of space and can be heavy, especially if you want to pack your boots. In practice, you won’t need so many shoes. While women can manage with three pairs (comfy loafers, sandals or low boots and heels for the evening) men can get by with only two pairs of shoes, sneakers, and loafers. Keep in mind that nowadays you can find a wide range of sneakers that are lightweight and can be easily folded, so they won’t take up a lot of space in your bag.

Travel in your workout clothes

Not that long ago, people wouldn’t be caught dead outside in their workout clothes (unless they were jogging). However, sports brands have figured out that exercise clothes shouldn’t be just comfortable and functional, they should also look good. Their designers did such a good job that workout clothes became very fashionable. People wear them when they are shopping, meeting friends for a cup of coffee, going for a walk and running errands. Since these clothes are comfy and stylish, they are great for long flights. They don’t take up a lot of space in your bag, they won’t crease and you will look great. While ladies can wear compression leggings with a cotton shirt and coat, men can opt for a pair of track pants and a track jacket.

Prepare for a formal evening

If you are supposed to attend a formal event, don’t bother with bulky dresses or a full suit. One fancy and flexible outfit will do the trick. Ladies can wear a slip dress with high heels and fabulous earrings, while men only need a pair of slacks, a blazer, a plain white shirt, and loafers to get ready.

With these useful tips, looking amazing and traveling light at the same time won’t be a mission impossible anymore.
