Morey’s Piers

There’s no doubt that the most prominent and grandest Wildwood attractions are situated on its Boardwalk. Comprising a total of three piers and two water parks, Morey’s Piers will entertain your inner child and give your inner thrillseeker an adrenaline rush the likes of which it’ll never forget.

The Mariner’s Pier is home to classic amusement park rides, like spinning teacups, carousels, kiddie swings, and a giant ferris wheel. Surfside Pier hosts a local carnival as well as a couple of low-key rollercoasters, but Adventure Pier is where the extreme rides and live entertainment are.

The Skycoaster, Springshot, and Screamin’ Swing will fling you through the air in as many ways as you can imagine, so be prepared to scream yourself hoarse if you take on these monsters.

The waterparks are similarly delightful summer fun with faux palm trees, bright umbrellas, and a host of aquatic activities and rides.

Seaport Aquarium

Situated just off the Boardwalk, visiting Seaport Aquarium is one of the top fun things to do in Wildwood, NJ, for adults and kids alike. It might be on the smaller side, but don’t let that deter you.

You’ll see various wildlife, including alligators, stingrays, fish, eels, turtles, and even sharks. Feedings occur throughout the day, some of which you can participate in and feed the animals – including piranhas.

There’s also a touch pool for a more interactive experience, where you’ll get a chance to touch one of the enormous catfish, stingrays, or sharks.

Doo Wop Preservation League Museum

A delightfully historical Wildwood, NJ, attraction, this charming ode to all things 1950s will have you in vintage raptures.

It was determined by studies that took place in the 90s that Wildwood was home to the most extensive assortment of 1950s and 1960s American architecture in America. These architectural signatures, such as sweeping angles, starbursts, angular roofs, and bright colours, are referred to as “Doo Wop” style. And this is where the museum gets its name from.

The museum was opened in 1997 and aims to preserve the culture and architecture from that period. The league offers tours of the historic district where 50s-era diners, resorts, and neon signs reign supreme.

There’s also an online gift shop where you can grab some take-home trinkets as souvenirs. The museum itself has plenty of retro exhibits to enjoy and an onsite malt shop complete with a retro design where you can stop and grab an old-school bite to eat.
